This book started life as a collection of reliable recipes which had appeared in the monthly UK Magazine, The Amateur Winemaker. First published in January 1960, it was an instant and phenomenal success, so much so that over 3 million copies have been sold and it has become internationally recognised as the best ‘rapid course’ in winemaking available to the beginner. This new most current version is now very different from the original book and has been continually updated and amended. It sets out in metric, imperial and American measures some 130 detailed recipes.
